Its true that hardwork and dedication always pay off ! We Team Indriya won the first prize for the best innovative project at iBeto 2016 held as part of excel 2016 technical fest conducted by Govt. Model Engineering College. Its the first time in our life we are receiving such a big prize , that too in front of such a superb crowd of model .We became the stars of the day haha ! We also bagged 50000 Rs cash prize from Sri.Rajamanickam IAS , which gave me nervous goosebumps on stage haha..
Actually we never even had a plan of going there. We decided to go there all of a sudden in the previous night . Then we booked the tickets in train and went right away . We prepared for the possible questions that can arise , debated over it , discussed all aspects , even minor points . The night was almost sleepless and endless .The same was our hardwork and dedication into it. I knew somewhere in my mind that we will win a prize cz mmm idk ; may be some kinda clairvoyance , intution I formed from the omens right from the previous nights. The day at model started off quite disappointingly with a flawed demo presentation. But inspiring omens came right after it , we were determined , we never lost confidence and brought out a terrific presentation which boosted our hopes for the prize.After that it was the time for demo for students in the exhibiton hall . It was our team who attracted most crowd . Already we had become stars there . I felt that prize is on the way...well atleast 3rd prize ...But we never expected it to be first ..It was undoubtedly the best moment of joy I have ever had after my infosys placement news in 2012 .The taste of immense success !! we all lost our state of emotion and didnt know what to do when an organiser came and asked us , whose name should be written on the check haha....phewww.....Later on we presented our demo on main stage as the winners and most special people of the day and got applause for each results we demonstrated. Many teachers students and dignitaries congratulated us after that and we went outta model college with probably the most wonderful day of all of our lives,,,,,I had gone there 3 times before and have stood there as an audience and observed all the works in techfest with curiosity and immense interest. But to stand on the same place as winner of the same tech fest , was something special............. :) thanku model , teachers friends and all others who appreciated us on the way......we are now planning to take our project Indriya to next level....as a social initiative , open source community project for the blind :)
