Just another good bye

I have a problem of getting attached to places. Despite homesickness, I have been attached to whichever places I lived away from my family. Kollam during my college days, Mysore during my training days at Infosys, Pune during my work days at Infosys, Trivandrum during my M.Tech days, and now, Bangalore. The time has come. This might not be a good bye forever. I may be back soon or later. But for the time being, it's good bye. Good bye Bangalore !

A trip to Jogs Falls

Jogs falls, as we all know, is the biggest plunge waterfall in India. Recently, I came across a news on the falls, describing its profound beauty in monsoon. That was when I made up my mind to refrain from laziness and go for this trip. I luckily got the tickets for the only train from Bangalore to Sagara. I boarded the train on the night of Aug 17th and reached Sagara in the morning. Jogs falls is like 30 kms from Sagara. I gotta say that the one hour bus trip thru the Karnataka greenery, sitting by the window side was something to cherish; especially when because it was drizzling outside as well. Yea, typical monsoon vibes ! Once I reached the Jog, I was mesmerized by the enormity and vehemence of the falls. The beautiful sharavati river was flowing angrily under drizzles, feeding the Jog falls. With the help of a local guide I was able to visit all view points of the falls.Truly a giant wild beauty. The water was brimming into an abyss of 250 meters hitting the rock bottom, produci

We are one and strong !

Within these past weeks, what we Keralites have seen is probably the worst flood in the history of our state. I would like to say, "chaos". A totally unexpected calamity that left us, made us run clueless and helpless in the initial days. People were crying for helps from all corners. Everyone were looking for their loved ones, who were missing. Lights out, food out, water out. And yes, we were simply clueless on what to do. But what we have seen afterwards, was an absolute peach of a come back. The rescue and relief operations were started by our energetic state police and fire rescue, later on joined by local people. But that was just not enough ! We needed more miracles. It began when our energetic youth took the screen along with eminent artists, celebs, social workers across the state. Our entire social media left their favorites trolls aside and got fully engaged in volunteering online. Our youth sat over nights and brought live websites in mere couple of days to gui

Thank you Russia for this World Cup

Shocking exit of Germans. Dramatic last minute qualifications of Argentina,  Japan, Colombia, Sweden, Swizz. Theatrics of Neymar Ronaldo and Messi exiting on the same day. Sweden's run without Ibrahimovic. Russia's passionate rage sending Spain home. England beating the odds after decades. Intimidating Belgians. Dream run of Croatians. Consistent champion performance of France. . . 12 own goals, 29 penalties, thrillers throughout. Truly a roller coaster ride and the most dramatic world cup in a long time. Thank you Russia for the memories Russia will be missed. Now off to Qatar ! #2022 #Football_Beyond_Just_a_Game 💗

The fear

Then, Ain't did I brood over the future. Ain't was I afraid of the insecurities. Ain't was I afraid of my imperfections. Ain't nothing could cease me from going that extra mile. Now, Fret over the past has inflicted fear in me. The fear that changed everything forever. Mitu

Lead them to light, not ignorance.

Can't help but have to put a post with frustration in my mind. In light of the recent rape cases, capital punishment to the culprits may subdue the public rage and restrain these incidents for a while. But what about in the long run ? I believe things should start at school, where a future citizen's character and mindset are moulded. The responsibility rests primarily with teachers and then parents.  It should start from school by teachers and by parents at home. It's high time Sex Education should be a part of the curriculum starting from  the primary school. It is high time creating distinction between a boy and a girl should be ceased. Let them feel we all are same and respect the differences in one another. Exercising naive things like: "I will put you in between girls if you speak in my class, that would be shameful"; "Don't sit, talk, walk, or roam with a girl around here"; " I saw you with a girl yesterday, Are you both in relation
